INSTRUCTIONS:
1. open virtual dub
2. click file then open first video file
3. on the settings use (audio -- direct stream copy) (video -- direct stream copy)
4. view the images to set the settings for the first video (or part one)
FIRST SELECT THE START POINT
NEXT SELECT THE END POINT OF THE FIRST VIDEO BY MOVING THE SLIDER TOWARDS THE END
5. now go back to file and select Append AVI segment
6. choose the second video (or part two)
7. NOTICE that the SLIDER is now positioned in the middle or not at the end as before?
8. move the SLIDER back to the end point
9. FINALLY click on file and select Save Video As... choose where to save your file and 2 or 3 minutes later you video is now joined
**for files split into 3 or more repeat steps 5 thru 8**
all of my split videos will be easily joined unless noted otherwise
