I watched this (probably here) a few months ago, and I remember thinking it was a pretty generic Iraq war movie, and I thought it really glossed over any kind of actual human emotion (the scenes with his ex) and just kind of tried to show the disconnected machismo of soldiers. I'm fairly certain I watched either a screener or a dvd rip of it, and thought it was a direct to dvd movie, however now I am reading pretty much nothing but RAVE reviews for the movie and noticed it's playing at a local theater. I definitely wouldn't give it anything more than a sub-par rating however it seems almost universally praised, has anyone else seen it?

well written....well acted...felt genuine....did not try to have some political message lying underneath the whole plot...a lot of suspense....my body was tense during some of those detonations. on the edge of my seat, thinking something was going to happen

I m with you Beneboi. Mediocre movie at best. Corny script, the lead actor sucked for the role, and the whole thing just seemed forced. I m also surprised its getting good reviews.
