New Book Forum Moderator introductions and some announcements.
Hi,
I thought I'd take this opportunity to introduce myself properly.
I'm Helena, and I've been at QSS for over a year now. Contributor since Dec 2008, mod since yesterday
I love books, order, and this icon -->
I hate luke-warm coffee (it's either scalding hot or icy cold. No in betweens!) and self-absorbed people.
Audiobook addict since mid 2008.
Ok, awkward introductions done, let's move to the more important matters.
Book Forum is undergoing a major transformation!
You probably have noticed that the book forum has been changing during the last couple of days. We have been moving files left and right and trying to sort everything out for your convenience. (Un)fortunately, we are far FAR from done yet. Changes are coming. Not too big, but you'll notice it here and there as we work to improve your book browsing experience.
During the next couple of days I will be editing posts to include the category (for all non-fiction) and genre (for fiction and OTR) subtitle, for easier search, as well as adding cover art for visual effect. Chances are, if you posted in this forum at one time, your post(s) will be edited. To avoid any of your future posts to be edited (and to ease the mods) please read the OTR, fiction and non fiction how-to and use the templates provided.
If you have questions or doubts, please don't hesitate to PM me, or address the issue in the Customer Service topic. I am here to listen to your opinions and help your browsing experience as much as I can. Any suggestions on how to further improve the book forum are more than welcome.
The editing will start with the audiobook forum first, as it's the most popular and therefore a priority.
Any dead posts will be archived, UNLESS YOU PM ME AND ASK TO BE NOTIFIED when your posts contain dead links. I will give you a 24-hour grace period to fix your links. I will try to fix some of the links to the best of my abilities.
eComic section:
I realize, that the forum hasn't seen a mod action in a while and I promise I will get to it as soon as I can. I don't really know how to index that forum yet. It seems that categorizing it by comic title is the most sensible thing to do. Tomy did a wonderful job with that, so I am just going to index whatever new comes up and leave it at that at the moment. Any suggestions and ideas are greatly appreciated. You can discuss it at length in the Customer Service topic.
Remember:
QUALITY OVER QUANTITY!
QUALITY OVER QUANTITY!
Cheers,
Helena
