Out of interest, are ther any formats which you think would improve the general discussion section, should it be broke down into news, politics, movies, tv shows, random things etc...

Feel free to put any ideas in here as we will be looking at improving the forums soon to 1) try and speed it up and 2) just generally make it more interesting to get more people posting.

Yeah , nice idea ,games section , debate,random , there's loads I suppose. I know other forums have a serious debate section to separate the news and politics stuff away from the fun stuff , and have a few basic rules to follow 'cause such things can get a bit heated I hear . Never experienced that myself :roll:

Oh and a sin bin.

I have something to say about pretty much anything . Political discussion without maturity can lead to people hating eachother so it's best to avoid that. Having a news section would be neat. It would add a more serious side .

What be a sin bin?

A special forum that if you are put there for a few days/week , for breaking rules , rudeness etc you cannot leave .Others can come and go and generally post nonsense.

you should have some kind of vote or something to see what everyone wants and agrees on

have more sections but keep the general discussion cos we can keep chat which doesnt fit in the other sections here

I like the current structure as it exposes me to things that I normally wouldn't search for. I have no complaints if the general discussion forum stays strong as movieman suggests.

Im all for that. the only problem would be 1 this site has no age restrictions and 2 it would probly get filled up with spam sites that would cause trogans and spyware

I think you definitely have to recognize the political presence that emerges when a free speech documentaries section is provided. The doc section is usually on fire about somethin. I've lit it up a coupla times myself. Would a politics section get used? I think so, and in a big way with a regime change on the way. Plus it might separate out all the rif-raf, maybe even create some more rif-raf. However you look at it there is a strong political contingent to Quicksilver, from radical free-market access, to what yer idea of Democracy is is whats goin on here and to have a dedicated outlet for that might be a good idea.
Ya gotta admit Quicksilver is by far the most mature or evolved site of it's kind. The idea of the "Forum" is well practiced and well preserved here This sights keepers show more care than any of the others to the environment. I think it has a lot to do with the fact that were not calling a 1 800 number when were tryin toget a hold of a mod or somethin its techno-grassroots or some sh@$.

I mean, I think that if this gets as big as it should, whether it get done by qss, or some other hybrid sight of the future (zap)by that I mean legal access to broadcasted movies that Big production companies and TV networks invest a lot of money in maintaining ownership of. Doesn't it seem logical that if qss or any sight like it that manages to REALLY offer and provide non- paying customers with their product, that these corporations will launch a campaign to some how criminalize it or disallow access in some way. Can it be done Probably not, so then there will be some useless cyber-war.
