Thank you for the links captainultra. This was hands down, the best TV movie I have ever seen. Wow, just amazing, definitely on the same level as BSG. Nice mixture of the Matrix and Sunshine. In my opinion, a must see especially for sci-fi fans.

Is this a pilot for a projected TV series? It certainly looks like one. If that's the case, shouldn't it be in the TV show section rather than the movie section?

Well don't know what to think about this. Could go any number of ways.
But it's sci fi and thats good enough for me.

I thought the same thing but it was never announced that it would be a series, it was just advertised as a TV movie. I hope it does become a TV series because this would definitely be a favorite. If it does get announced that episodes will be added, it will be moved, I am sure

If this was going to be a standard Fux series, it'd be axed. It's got a relatively complex back story, plenty of character development, and a multiple level (co-dependent) plot, so it would get canned by fux.

If it's essentially a mini-series, with a given end date (and the story kind of lends itself to that format), then even whatever the fux network uses instead of intelligence may well realize that they may as well let this run its course (even if they couldn't recognize potential if it manifested in canine form and bit them on the arse).

Is it worth watching?... Please do, before those network fsckwits do what they do so well.

exactly what I was thinkin.. Im not even starting to watch smth on fuckin Fox anymore.. cuz as soon as I start to like smth they axe it...

Overly written and poorly presented and very confusing as if they sat down a thousand chimpanzees to write Shakespeare.. but got a monkey poo flinging fight instead... And imagine if they failed at cramming as much as they could into a two hour show.. how bad it's going to be cramming these same 13 characters and their individual story arcs into a one hour show. And am I the only one that had a prob having interest in most of these characters in the first place...

I expect this one to last about as long as Drive did... 4 eps. I thought it was the best bit of sci-fi I've seen in ages, far better than Caprica and reminiscent of classic Silverberg, Heinlein or Asimov stories. Top notch. Let's hope Fox aren't as ignorant as their past actions suggest they are...

Phew, sorry gang. A stinker in my book. I miss SF more than most but I wouldn't watch Virtualtiy as a series. An avid reader of it and have lived long enough to watch 'em from the early 60's. Firefly was an excellent show. This dude did Battlestar Galactica? Gotta say that(BSG) was a little too serious. Needed a little more humour to be human. Virtuality was just plain silly.....Keep the "reality" shows right where they are. Too many of 'em as it is, eh?

I haven't watched it yet, but the general consensus from what I've read elsewhere on the net is pretty much summed up in mnotr2's post.

I wasn't even going to watch it after reading what people initially had to say, but now that some people are giving it the 'thumbs up' I guess I'll have to screen this pilot after all.

I wouldn't call it a classic (not yet any way), but it definitely has promise.....
all the characters are staring in a reality game taking place millions of miles from Earth on a spaceship that's on a mission to save the population of the planet, well it has to throw up a few interesting story lines me thinks!
I'm gonna watch it as long as it keeps getting posted and thanks to the posters for bringing it on to the radar.

This was suppose to be a pilot episode of a new series- unfortunately tho the geniuses at FOX didn't think it was worthy of becoming a series, but they had this 2 hour pilot so they just decided to show it as a "tv movie", hence more focus on introduction of characters- o well, what could have been

I dont know about you guys but the show is pretty great, i will take anything thats Scifi at these moment!

Fox dumped it as a 2 hour movie instead of pilot, no one else has picked it up yet, still another week or two before it goes onto the miss pile

is this related to Defying Gravity? Such similar shows to be around at the same time....

Anyway, I have to say... I didn't like virtuality... The chosen crew is not believable at all

Ive never actually seen this but im pretty sure that it isn't related to Defying gravity. But rest assure Defying Gravity is a much much much better show then this. One of the few shows on tv that actually caught my attention and impressed me quite alot. This on the other hand i am going to pass on from reading the comments.



The Odds of a show going by everyone's raider are slim to none. So rest assure when the episode is released itll be up.

Yeah defying gravity is great, it just always seems like shows/movies come in pairs - almost as though 1 basic idea was taken and developed into two shows, even though they're quite different to each other - it still seems like things come up in pairs of the same kind of setting too often to be coincidence..
