I thought I already had something on my puter to do this but I need to put some of my older movies on dvd-r's as data for storage. I'm not sure if ConvertXtoDvd is able to do this (I burn a lot of dvd's with it)... I couldn't find any information stating so.

Actually wouldn't I burn it as data on a cd-r???

Tried to do a data disc with a cdr in my cdrw drive... not working.

Will do most things except authoring a DVD.
Absolute freeware and completely reliable.

if you only want to burn the videos as data to disk, a simple drag and drop should do.

Thats what I thought too but it doesn't work when I try. When I try with my F drive (DVD writer) I get an error. F:\ is not accessible. Incorrect function. I use ConvertXtoDvd 3 to burn DVD's no problem. When I try with my D drive ( it asks me what kind of disc I want to make... I choose data... then It asks me what I want to open this with ... which I'm not sure what to put since Im not opening anything. When I try and drag and drop it tells me there isn't enough room. It counts the total mb in the movie file which if I remember right that wasn't the same case when I did the same thing with mp3's.

Well I'm not sure how 'lite' you need it to be, but CopyToDVD's what I've been using for a while now. Installed it's about 60MB or there's a smaller 'portable' version (no install needed). Never had a problem using it, unlike my past experiences with Nero and Windows built-in utility.

I spent a little while looking for it in the Cafe - turns out we didn't have it so I've just added it: http://ipb.quicksilverscreen.com/index.php?showtopic=149332

Hope it helps. smile.gif
