Or he just dont have the readies available at the mo?
Maybe Villa his main target this season

nah rafa is going to stick with 1 up front, he wants a back up striker. his main target will be a top class winger. as for alonso, perez has 300m to spent on 6 players, he said he wants alonso. hopefully we can get stupid money for him (30m)

Are you mad,you are really hoping we sell Alonso ? I'd still be pissed if we sold him for£40m + Sneijder,Liverpool cannot afford to let Alonso go & the only way he will go is if he insists he wants to go to RM and we get silly money (£30m is NOT silly money) and considering Xabi is Basque it would be shocking if he did go to RM,remember he turned them down to come to us in the first place.

here is something i wrote on another forum, What is wrong with you people? Do you think Rafa is well stupid? he is a very smart man. For Liverpool to get to the next level and catch united he needs world class quality, not 10-15m players but a 20-25m player who will win us games. by rafa now saying Alonso is not for sale, it will push his price up and up. Franjly, every person has their price, 25m for alonso is a very good deal for us and Rafa can spend that money to get a replacement and part fund a Move for a superstar on the wings

I don't care what your write on another forum (i think i read that shit by the way) because it's all assumptions on your part the FACT is you think we can replace Xabi when the truth is we wouldn't be able too,we don't need a fucking superstar winger we need a little trickster.
For some strange reason you're completely missing just how important Xabi is to the way we play.

BOSS RUBBISHES ALONSO DEAL CLAIMS
Paul Hassall
Rafa Benitez has rubbished reports in the Spanish media that an agreement has been reached with Real Madrid for the transfer of Xabi Alonso.
The midfielder has been linked with a move away from Anfield this summer but the Reds boss has poured cold water on suggestions the Spain international is set to leave.
The Liverpool manager said: "The situation is clear, we do not want to sell our best players and that includes Xabi.
"He had a very good season for us and can be an important player in the future. There is no agreement with Real and we want him to be part of our plans going forward.
"Xabi himself told our club magazine only two weeks ago that he was looking forward to his sixth season as a Liverpool player. Why should he want to leave now?"
Benitez added: "Xabi's agent came to see me recently to talk about the future. It was a surprise for me and I pointed out to him there were three years left on Xabi's contract.
"I asked him if the player was happy in Liverpool and he said yes. It was a short meeting."

25-30m anything between that figure is a great deal. just wait and see...perez wants alonso

You must be fucking old to call me a kid man,the bigger picture is not selling your most influential midfielder, the player who makes your side tick, draws fouls, holds the ball up better than any other player and can pass like big Jan and if you do you cannot replace him because cultured CMs in that mould are not 2 a penny.
Name me this world class winger you want us to spunk/gamble £20m+ on and i hope you don't want a right winger because that will screw up our balance big style,i honestly don't think you understand Rafas football philosophy.

single games mean nothing, the fact your still going on about single games shows how little you know about foorball. 38 games pal.....not 1. sooner you realise sooner i will treat you like someone with half a braincell.

Jun 3 2009, 02:46 PM
you have mistaken me
i never said I WANT alonso to leave because of course i WANT him to stay, what i was trying to explain was IF alonso DOES leave then it wouldnt be as bad as everyone is making it out to be...
when athelico lost torres they were a mid table team, everyone was like this is the end but they used the money from torres to buy 3 players and made them self into a top 5 team...
that is my point, if we lose alonso, who is to say we wont be 2 quality players with that money to become better? and i also brought up the point about transfer funds, how are we going to afford a top winger without big sales
colnechris
Jun 3 2009, 02:54 PM
no you would have to fund your increasingly unlikely stadium more than likely. considering you dnt actually have the full funds for it.
and alonso is unreplacable, the players you would want play for better clubs already.
keeping him and selling 5 or 6 of your rubbish players would be a better idea, decrease squad size and buy 2 decent players. also i can assure you you have 25-30 million waiting to be spent on 1 big name. your club isnt poor at all, and it has the funds to comete with chelsea and city if they chose to. just your manager isnt good enough to persuade major names as well as others are.
