Hi
Megaupload is acting weird.
When I tried to download

Season 3, Episode 3: The Paradise Syndrome
http://www.mrbrownee70.com/?id=BYS1X2WY8

When I clink on the alt link I get the following message "We have detected an elevated number of requests from your IP address.
This may be caused by improperly designed third-party software.
A temporary access restriction is in place. Please check back in 2 minutes or log in using your premium account."

I have tried to use megaupload unsucessfully all morning.

I have not downloaded any thing all day

I get the same message in Ie as well as firefox

I deleted my cookies and temporary internet files as well as my history in ie.
I even turned odd my dsl modem.

Does anyone know whats going on?

Is there anthing I can do besides wait for megaupload to "Fix itself"?

Thanks
Balduin
Hey Z1rDarryl, I've noticed the same problem, it appears that Megaupload is somehow blocking the mrbrownee70 links.
How ever you can still download the movie, if you check the file ID on the link below you can instead make your own download link.

For example, the movie that you are trying to download have the following megaupload ID (L4DM7U8A).
You can find this particular ID, by hovering your mouse over the "click me for alternative method" and simply adding this ID to the regular megauload URL.

Again in your example the correct megaupload link would be http://www.megaupload.com/?d=L4DM7U8A

I havent figured out how to stream it as I'm not savvy in that field, but hey you can still D/L it, and its atleast fast enough to wait for it to finish to watch the movie.

another member was reporting the same trouble but i have no problem myself, when mrbrownee sees this trouble i am sure he will have some great advice on the problem. (i hope)

I just noticed this myself... I was checking my links and I get the same thing.

I've got that message before, but it started working again after a while. I guess it's just some sort of temporary block. I'm not sure what's causing it though?

I just tried some Megaupload links, and they seem to be working fine for me.

I say just wait...try again later.
JayFlix
just tested the link again and it still works when i use the captcha mode but if i try the other way of copy/paste download link into bar it goes to my account.

i never saw that episode before i don't think, i should check them all out again. i tried to upload it to stagevu but their uploads are down atm.

That's a neat trick
Thanks

Yea Megaupload is still acting weird .
But knowing that its happening to other people here at QSS at least makes me a little less paranoid.
It would really suck if they are blocking Mrbrownee70's links
Hopefully it will sort itself out.
mrbrownee70
can you try it again to see if its still happening. i got some pm's about it earlier, but since it was only one person reporting i figured it was an issue on the one persons pc. (please use the report tongue.gif )

please let me know if the issue is still there.

hiya peeps smile.gif

when i came here yesterday, for the carnival tv show, when entering the code to stream the show via the megavideo link, i was refused entry. they said due to alot of activity from my IP address, id have to try again 2 mins later. so they had been monitoring the traffic to their site, to tell ya the truth it freaked me a little, especially since there has been alot of news recently (UK) about copyright infringement, torrent sites nd stuff. and also the fact that it had been more or less 24 hrs since id last streamed any megavideo link.

was wondering wat the peeps of QSS think about this ? i hope i have explained this ok, but if not then do tell me, and ill try harder to explain smile.gif

has it happened to any other people? do many peolpe use proxy sites to hide IP ? any advice or tips in avoiding this shituation ?

many thanx for this great site QSS. what's your take to this probem ?

cheers every1 smile.gif

PS have just noticed this subject has already been discussed in the Help section, title "megaupload acting weird" http://ipb.quicksilverscreen.com/index.php?showtopic=147771 started by z1rdarryl. sorry for any inconvenience

z1rdarryl, and all the other peeps,

i encountered the very same problem for the first time yesterday Tue 2nd. i started a thread about this in the general discussion section, so am sorry if this has caused any puzzlement, or confusion. i havent tried any other links, coz it was late anyway for me last night, and havent bothered today. i totally understand your paranoi darryl, coz i was feeling the same way mate smile.gif

lets hope the good people of QSS can find a way round this problem smile.gif in the UK atm copyright issues are very popular in the media. so your not being paranoid darryl, good point to raise mate. cheers every1 smile.gif

"Indeed! The divx generator is just great. I don't know what we'd do without you" spot on trebek smile.gif its an awesome bit of kit innit smile.gif

Nothing to worry about.....enjoy the show. smile.gif

....just one of many temporary technical glitches and not a conspiracy.

mrbrownee70 is constantly making modifications to the scripts that enable QSS members to stream videos on the DivX Web Player, but with all the changes the file hosts seem to constantly be making it can be a real battle!

I would suggest to everyone that, instead of complaining about the rare minor inconveniences, a thank you is in order to mrbrownee70 for keeping the Streaming DivX Video running smoothly nearly 100% of the time. smile.gif
