wow are they kidding with this, i watched the first series as a kid. couldnt even get threw the first 1/2 hour. i feel though abc as a network is just horrible, i cant think of one show i watch on it.. but over all they made a serious mockery of the original , and no im not a hater i never weigh in .. simply a disgrace.

When is the next installment on? Part 1 was pretty darn good!

great show! and they clearly mirrored this show to look like the current obama administration.... the things the visitors said etc.

i think this show will be great. i need to see more before i can make my mind up but i think it will be a great action packed show.

the look is nice.... i didnt notice one bad thing about it(just dont watch that chopped up version because it screwed the entire episode up big time)

the milldrive links are working fine and are not chopped up so that even a dumb ass like me can follow the storyline(the way it supposed to be from the start... who the hell would chop it up like that... must have been a bigger ass than i am)

Speaking of Firefly They also had Alan Tudyk (Walsh) as The FBI mole for the Visitors.

Also, as Hot as Morena Baccarin is, I prefer Elizabeth Mitchell.

CASTLE - starring Nathan Fillion - is doing well. And despite its being canceled just when it had taken the Terminator storyline to a whole new level - The Sarah Connor Chronicles - with Summer Glau - ran two full seasons. Anyway, i hope there's not a curse cause i like all the actors from Firefly.

i agree! i like them all and firefly was a great show!! it should have had a longer run(forget about lost firefly was way better)

yeah this show rocks its going to be as great as the bsg remake. I loved all the modern elements and the fact that they added more story to it. I loved the V of the past back in the day but this i feel is how the story really should have been told. Thanks for the links

The curse is that Firefly was canceled and forced a bunch of good actors to scramble for work. Not surprising that many of them ended up on canceled shows.

I keep reading people likening this new 'V' to the state of affairs in the USA at the moment and one thing that keeps popping up is people blaming Obama for the sorry state of affairs over there at the moment. Now, living in the UK I'm not really up to scratch on US politics but would like to say this : George W Bush was in power for 8 years over there and pretty much fooked the world up with the mess his administration made during that time. You critics haven't even given Barack Obama a year and you are blaming him for the mess you're/ we're in as a result of Bush.
Let me put it to you like this, during 9/11 (or 11/9 as it should have been known) it took the perpetrators a couple of hours to knock down 2 of the worlds largest buildings. Would you critisise the clean up crews if they didn't have it all tidied up within 15 minutes? I very much doubt it.
The knock on effects of one governments mistakes are not the sort of thing you can have sorted out in 12 months, as we have seen in Britain with our mess. Social change cannot happen over night and if our PM or your President did bring about all these changes instantly, as if by magic, it would be pure chaos.

As for V, i thought the first episode was pretty damned good and look forward to seeing it through! Hopefully future episodes won't have been scrambled around like the first one! What sort of retard would do that?

Wow, people are getting pickier by the minute when it comes to Sci Fi. Personally i enjoyed last nights episode. I wouldn't say the show is mind blowingly good but it's enjoyable enough for me. I doubt very much that the plan for this one is to only run it for a season or two but rather be a long term thing and i'll be happy to keep watching and see where they take it.

It's a little amusing that people can be critical of SGU but still be givign it a chance 2 months down the line through very boring storylines and yet V just "sucks" lol.

I've no idea what the ratings they're getting for this on the TV are but there are 4 times the amount of people watching this on VeeHD than there are of any other current show, including ones such as SGU, Smallville, Heroes, Flashforward etc.

I kinda like it so far. The original I saw as a child before CGI ruled the world so sure I thought it was awesome. One thing that doesn't sit well with me is that if all these aliens were here for years b4 the ships arrived you figure at least one of 'em would of got hit by a bus or had an industrial accident in that time revealing his/her inner self to the humans. Hmm. Oh well, it is fiction, doesn't have to be great fiction I guess.

Well that depends how many Visitors were here and how organized they were. For all we know, they brought like a million secretly to the planet and had a cloaked ship in orbit for a few decades monitoring every V's location and if something went wrong, they sent a cleanup crew immediately and covered it up...

I thought the second episode was great, I liked the moves made by the news guy and the whole phone call thing was pretty cool. I thought the ending was great and I cant wait to see what episode 3 brings. Its a pretty solid show, and its now a must-watch for me.

Im just wondering how many there are throughout the world. I could definetely see the old priest being a V, and the girlfriend too. I think eventually this season when the black dude pairs up with the priest and Erica they are going to get or create something that can detect if a person is a V or not. I could just imagine they develop some kind of glasses that show a red glow around anybody that is a V when you look at em, maybe using V tech. That would be a great season finale cliffhanger, Erica wearing the glasses and walking through her office and seeing like 30 people are actually V's, including some of her friends or colleagues...

I wrote that comment as I started to watch the second episode and now that I watched it I think it was great too. As regards them being found out early I still think I got a point. Imagine one getting in an accident and getting pretty torn up. You know how the gawkers surround such a scene. No time for a clean up crew.

The glasses idea was done in that Roddy Piper movie about aliens from the 80's, forgot its' name...

its fucking horrible. HORRIBLE

there is no real substance. the pilot simply sets up this silly sci fi
fantasy world, introduces a few weak and depth-less-unappealing
characters and then leaves it hanging vague and open-ended..

the episodes, (should this piece of shit get going) can be about
anything. there is no master plan involved. nothing concrete.

i like sci fi too.. sucks. hated it. moving on

enjoyable but cant really see were its going. last episode was good but i just cant take "steve the pirate" (from dodgeball) seriously, i was so happy when they killed him of but now hes back, i dont know maybe he'll grow on me! Also, why doesnt the black guy just go on tv and show everyone hes a lizard! i suppose that would be the end of the show. lol

I tried. I just couldn't stay focused because there was nothing to focus on. Boring version of an amazing series.

Oh and you know how in some shows (or films) there can be an intriguing scene/line that cues commercial or title screen? What the hell was "You still don't understand humanity."?
What was that? That wasn't a creepy line or even mildly powerful. Why did they focus on her face like it was so strong. I'm confused. Was that supposed to impress me?

no idea, but she was half the reason I was watching smallville. Even in V she's a SuperGirl!

The writing, the bad direction, and a good story that was dumbed down have made this series a miss for me. I love sci-fi. But being sci-fi does not mean it is good enough.
