Indeed, you should "upgrade" to XP or try another OS altogether. Linux Ubuntu is a great piece of work, it's very user friendly and offers a lot in the way of security and stability. Also, you really shouldn't be complaining about getting over 20 megs a sec download speed. I am with Telecom NZ for my broadband. We get a 20G cap per month. Share that cap with about 7 other people and that goes in a week. Once the cap is blown, we go down to dial up speed. Share that bandwidth with 7 people over a wireless network and you average download speeds of 2.2KB/s with Utorrent.
So really, all you can do is clear your cache, temp files and cookies, clean out any adware etc from your PC. Even if you are only getting a few Meg per sec, that's still pretty good. Unless you wanna swap countries, I'd love to have that kind of speed for my internet!
