Ok let me start off by saying I am not a tree hugger but I was going though the channels Sunday April 19, 2009 and came across the show NITRO CIRCUS. What a bunch of idiots. Take a look at this video what has me all fired up starts about 3 or so minutes into the video at this website:

http://www.mtv.com/videos/misc/374640/dont...html#id=1608833 I believe this video was shot in Colorado. It is just plain stupid what they are doing. I would like to know what kind of idiots would climb a 50' to 75' foot pine tree and try to snap off the top of it.

I take it these losers do not know how long it takes a tree to grow. I know for a fact if that video was shot on BLM land or State forestry land that they could get some hefty fines for breaking those tree's. Also I bet they did not have the correct permits to even be shooting video where they were. I do not know how anyone could call something like this entertainment. I have taken the time to contact the Authorities about the actions of these so called reality TV stars.

I know I most likely am Pi$$ing off a few people out there because they think that what they did was funny but it is not. I could careless if I do. Until people shooting video's like this take responsibility for their actions it will just keep happening. I think I am also going to contact a few of the major TV networks along with some of the bigger cable news channels and bring this to their attention and hopefully they might be interested in doing a story about this kind of crap. Some how this kind of stuff has to stop.

So if you want to answer back to my post and tell me I am wrong go a head there is not going to be anything anyone says to change my mind and make me think that it is ok to show this kind of junk on TV. Like I said I am not a "TREE HUGGER." What I am is an avid outdoorsman that enjoys what nature has given us and hates to see people do STUPID stunts like what they did just to get a few laughs

You bet I do and the sooner the better. It is not a joke either! I for one am sick and tired of idiots on TV being stupid. I you are I went out and did something like that we could be arrested too. Just because they are on TV it does not give them the right to do illegal activities.

As for them getting hurt to bad they were dumb enough to do a stunt like that. Nitro Circus and & Godfrey Films have my name and contact information lets see if they got guts enough to contact me and tell me why they think it is ok to do crap like that on TV just for ratings. I for one am not going to sit back and let people like these clowns make it look like it is ok to be a moron while fliming yourself being stupid. Like I said it is against the law to do what they did now I am sure we will have some clowns that think the guys in Nitro Circus are way cool because of what they did and will try and do the same stupid stunt and ruin more tree's. Like I said I am not a tree hugger I am just sick of people being so stupid they should not be allowed to got out in public.

You definitely ARE a tree hugger. Go look up Travis Pastrana's achievements, such as the double backflip and his immediate wrc success, go look up andy bells success and eric roner's amazing skiing capabilities. They obviously aren't idiots, they highly capable athletes having fun (except streetbiker tommy who's just fat and stupid). Anyway, you are a tree hugger, but that's cool man! The trees cant fight for themselves! Do remember though, its only the top their snapping not the whole thing, you need to re-evaluate your morals and aim your gun at loggers and councils who cut down the poor trees to the stump. Personally, i would say i'm a bit of a tree lover as without them we wouldn't be able to breathe! But i don't see the harm in snapping a few branches.

nobody can do a dam thing to them if its private property their on. that includes "permits". if they had consent of owners or WERE the owners your crusade ended before it began.

i didnt watch it but Its not right, they shouldnt be cutting those trees, I mean trees are important to us. Sure cutting down one tree is like a drop in the bucket, but stupid shit like that adds up, and it will take decades to replace them. I understand the need for wood, but a lot of modern loggers are more environmentally friendly, clearing an area and replanting trees afterwards.

I guess it depends where the trees were and if they had permission for that. If it was like a State Park and they are cutting down a tree, they should be fined the maximum amount and if thats arrest worthy, they should be arrested. You wouldnt just go to a neighbourhood park and cut down a tree would you? Well, Id hope not because you would be a douche if you did, nature is for everyone to enjoy.

At least it was a carbon neutral stunt. No fossil fuels at all. Besides they didn't take the whole tree down just a little off the top.

I'm not a fan of Nitro Circus. I did like Jackass. I tolerated Bam's show. I sat through Wild Boys. But enough is enough. How many more shows featuring "funny stunts" can we have? No one thinks it's funny or shocking anymore. It got to the point where all the stunts are just stupid.

I'm pretty sure the showmakers had proper permits though.
