Hi everyone!

Wow, I had barely signed in and was overcome with comments and well wishes. It was a great feeling. Thanks ducky, zshare and pooh! It means a lot to me that I was missed and thought of often.

I had another surgery on November 4th to have the spinal cord stimulation unit placed. Thats the unit that is connected via leads sewn directly into the spinal cord and then a small computer that operates it is placed surgically into my right side. I have this cool little remote (at a whopping cost of $1400.00) that controls the internal unit.

ANyway! Its been an uphill battle .... we have finally gotten the unit setting tweaked and it is working at its fullest potential. Not pain free by nay means but I can actually wake up and face life with a smile for the most part. My activity level has increased from Nothing lol to being able to get up, shower and do small tasks around the house. I have even been on a few outings, mostly in a wheelchair but its much better than laying around the house.

Cecil (catsand) has kept me updated on the QSS dramas lol and he logs on each night and we do watch movies while we are going to sleep, a sweet little ritual he created in hopes of keeping me connected and interested in something other than my pain.

Again, its been a rough ride but I think I am as good as I will get. I have accepted that. Embraced the life I CAN lead and enjoy and I am working hard everyday to be happy and positive and thankful for what I have.

I love you guys! You have encouraged me and catsand and have held us in prayers and well wishes and it has meant a lot to us. A family! Thats what I feel like when I think of QSS...
