A lot of alien abduction/visitation cases (that happen in the bedroom, while the person is in bed) can probably be attributed to this condition.

I've actually went through this. I was sleeping and I heard my window open, I live in brooklyn, new york, so first thing that came to mind was that I was being robbed. I heard him walking, and he stood by my bed, I can feel him breathing, and I heard him speak... he said if I opened my eyes he would kill me. This dream was very realistic, I was awake, and very much aware, yet I could have been dreaming. I woke up swinging, I checked the windows, I checked the room and doors, I swore it was real. I didnt sleep that night.
My girlfriend recently went through this, just a few days ago. She was asleep and she heard someone approach her and look at her while she was sleeping. Her mom also had that same dream before, both in the same room. My girl couldnt sleep for days until her dad came back from his week long trip (her mom was at out town).
Thanx for the post, im watching it all now, then I'm fowarding it to my gf.
