Some English links for Left 4 Dead.

Left 4 Dead
Notes:
Full Game
Ripped - Nothing!
Multi6: English, Dutch, French, German, Italian, Spanish
Minimum requirements: 1Gb Ram

1) disable UAC on Vista
2) Join all files using hjsplit and get the rar file
3) extract .rar archive to NORMAL/SHORT PATH , somewhere like D:\Games
4) run setup.bat
5) follow on-screen instructions

It says that a file is corrupted, is there anything to do about that? Or is it just tough luck?

I'd try redownloading whichever one of the files that are corrupt. Failing that heres a single link for the game :

Some more information on what exactly went wrong with the install might help, but both downloads install and work fine for me.

No Colombian you don't need the disc, just download the links, follow the instructions and play.

so do these installs take long after you get the cmd screen telling u directions.. seems to be saying extracing 10% for like a long time now? ah now sayng 40%... let me be patient .. i hope it works... oh and ty.
