i'd like a other series of Star-Trek in the near future, but not a other prequal series... I loved voyager, so im a big fan of picking up where they left off...
maybe a series based on the heated battles with the borg, developing new defences and searching for new allies, they should go more techy in my opinion... its doable to write inteligently, look at big bang theory...
some more stuff that would be nice:
-Star Trek: Discovery (about the hunt for better technologies to help in the fight against the borg)
-Star Trek: BattleStation Alpha ( more fighty kind of star trek)
-star trek: starfleet (get more into starfleet? danger of becomming a highschool show with sprinkles of trek.)
-more tech! i needs it

a spacedock would be awesome, like, where ships are build and designed
Star Trek with something like voyager where they get lost or their ship stolen in deep space and the crew will need to travel in a colony of tiny ships that will take a hell of a lot longer than the big 'uns to get home
come on! get creative and think some shit up!

what i am looking for is patrick stewart getting screwed around by Q and being flipped from time to time with their photons blasting into some anomaly and all of them shooting like crazy the whole series. the last episodes of the next generation are still my faves, i am going to look for them now.

I would like to see a post voyager series with more advanced ships and new aliens & planets that we have never seen or heard of, Or another Deep space 9 series because they never really finished it with the ending they had to many open holes in the story line.

Post Voyager would be great, former cast members could make appearances or perhaps star, I wouldnt mind seeing Tom Paris and Chakotay running a ship, something like that.
What Id really love to see, set in that same post-voyager era is a completely original Star Trek series that doesnt focus directly on Starfleet, but is still set in that world. What i want to see is a show focusing on a group on an elite task force(still can be Starfleet tho) which is sent out to deal with the more extreme problems Starfleet faces. This group could have their own ship and specially designed shuttles, along with the latest in technology and weapons. It would be a combination of a SWAT team with 007 spy missions and gadgets as well. Imagine all the cool technology that could be showcased, and im sure they will use some modified tech from Voyagers journey. Imagine having a device that when activated, creates a Holographic squad of soldiers to provide support. Just for fun, make Worf an important charactor:P

Should be a sequel, so after Voyager, but with a bit of a post-apocalyptic feel to it. Maybe a new adversary would spice things up.

lol, i hardly remember making this, but reading back i had a idea of a show about starfleet test-lab? we've seen it in voyager, where the doc gets teleported/beamed all the way back to the alpha quadrant.... i agree on some of the voyager crew getting their own ship, and even seeing the offspring of a certain engineer and a certain pilot all grown up and starring in a new trek show.
Bring back Quark? he can set up shop elsewere, that;d be awesome... old piccard should so be in a episode with old janeway, both admirals comming to inspect the new trek show crew for some reason... they show how shit is done, new crew is in awe and learns, happy day in the end.
New baddy should be something that feeds on borg and humans, maybe a centient race of machines, not androids or cyborgs. more exoskeleton than that. not so human like... this baddy could literally eat ships and shit, giving massive spacebattles/escapepod scenes... then, the key to fighting them could be Bio-Machines... a new race could introduce this tech... making the weapons and ships more organic, but at a cost....(insert plottwist)

What about a series that follows a Vulcan (or something else) ship with a large portion of the crew human for some reason.
Or a series that follows a pirate ship, like firefly in the star trek world. ;p

i did like DS9.. and TNG with a real storyline would have been great too. the other series were between mediocre and ok.
What i would like would be something like a cross-over of Rome and Star Trek taking place for example within the Klingon Empire.
The show would be centering around 2 or 3 warriors and their famlies etc - now this concept is not new.. something simliar will be done in Caprica - but because of the nature of the Klingons it probably will have more action.
You also could have Quark who had to set up shop on Klingon after some legal troubles.. maybe one or two humans who were survivors of some battle and were adoipted by one of the Klingon families etc..
one would also need a character which gives an outsiders view (like Spock, Data, the doctor, Odo etc).. this could be done by Quark (a side-storyline could also be done with his Klingon wife.. or was it ex-wife?). The adopted humans of course could be also possible.. maybe sibblings.. one who wants to be like the Klingons.. the other one more like humans on Earth.
another possibility for returning characters would be a grown up Alexander, Worfs son, who returns to his home planet. This would also open the door for guest appearences of Worf

I want to see a more "realistic", gritty version. Think Battlestar Galactica.
Doesn't matter where or when it's set.

Id like to see it stick to it's original format of exploration, deep space nine made the show a little 'grounded' for me. Although i do like deep space nine.
Voyager was great I loved it, a carefully selected new cast and plot could give birth to a great new trek series.

Personally, I'd like to see a re-imagining of the original series, but set in the new Star Trek universe - the one created in the movie. No Vulcans (or very few of them) would mean that the entire balance of power within and without the Federation would be entirely different. Frankly, I think this is also the most likely scenario for any new series.
Sorry if I've spoiled the movie for anyone who hasn't seen it - yes, Vulcan gets blown up!

i even liked enterprise untill the whole 5th race war thingy... But anywho, startrek = exploration in space, so i do want a ship and not a base next series...should they bring back a Data or decent of?

I'd like a series that plays in the timeline just after first contact, sort of prequel to all the series there are now.
