You may want to get the free K-Lite Codec Pack 4.3.4 Full.
There is a link to it in the Qss Toolkit titled Codecs Pack: To Fix Many Audio Video Issues.

"K-Lite Codec Pack is a collection of codecs and related tools. Codecs are required to encode and/or decode (play) audio and video. The K-Lite Codec Pack is designed as a user-friendly solution for playing all your movie files. With the K-Lite Codec Pack you should be able to play 99% of all the movies that you download from the internet."

The video This Christmas plays fine on my system in IE7.x with WMP 11.
I then tested it in FF3.x, and got a black screen. It was downloading the video into cache. This took approximately 3-5 minutes. I wasn't paying attention.
The video started playing normally after it cached.
This may be what is taking place on your computer.
I do not have the WMP plugin for FF.

Sounds like there could be a problem with the WMP plugin for FF.
I would suggesting first seeing if there is an update for the plugin. If there is, get it, install it and try the video again.
If there is no new plugin or if the update didn't work, uninstall the plugin. Clear your browser's cache. Shut down the browser, then reopen it.
Get a new WMP plugin for FF from Mozilla HERE. Install it, and try the video again.

The only time zshare doesn't work for me is when the file extention says its avi. Which isn't for zshare anyways. Never figured out why people do that. lol. Anyways, the vid you posted for testing works fine for me in Firefox 2.0.0.17 (the last stable release) with WMP11 and the plugin redeye posted.

i love Zshare biggrin.gif

I've been having issues with Zshare lately too...And Megaupload too. After waiting for the little timer on Zshare, and clicking the link to download the file, it sends me back to the first page. Zshare USED to work great for me...But not now.

The link for This Christmas you posted worked fine for me in IE7 as well as FF 3.0.3 with the WMP FF plugin.

Usually if it starts connecting and then goes back to saying Ready it means the link is dead, but this isn't the case. I would try doing what redeye2 suggested, a fresh install may get things reset.
I've had to reinstall the FF plugin before and after that everything has worked fine.

thats initially what i thought too, is that was the new way of knowing it was dead. but since what you said is the case with that particular link, then i bet i need to re-install too. thankie for the info smile.gif

Just checked the This Christmas link again and it seems Zshare has switched over to a flash player for streaming, download still gives you the original WMV file. So that should solve the WMP plugin problems.

Edit: Well the flash player isn't on every link because this link for the new simpsons episode still loads the WMP plugin http://www.zshare.net/video/5208527874143743/

Great discovery greeniz, combined with the occasional "no video" message it would appear that zshare has a thing or two to work out as well. Similar to SNT in a funky way, minus the whole WMP plug-in gig of course.

Ok so the Christmas movie does work now , but anything thats WMP dosent work for me , i have just repaired my FF/WMP Plugin , seems to not have fixed the problem .

Like Greeniz, I too have noticed that ZShare has instigated a new flash player for their videos, instead of the problematic embedded WMP.

This seems only to apply to videos uploaded in the past week - any older videos still use the embedded WMP method of viewing. But it's good news for the future, as everyone will be able to view their vid with none of those problematic WMP plugin troubles. biggrin.gif
