Simply Raw: Reversing Diabetes in 30 Days is an independent documentary film that chronicles six Americans with diabetes who switch to a diet consisting entirely of vegan, organic, uncooked food in order to reverse disease without pharmaceutical medication. The six are challenged to give up meat, dairy, sugar, alcohol, nicotine, caffeine, soda, junk food, fast food, processed food, packaged food, and even cooked food for 30 days. The film follows each participant’s remarkable journey and captures the medical, physical, and emotional transformations brought on by this radical diet and lifestyle change. We witness moments of struggle, support, and hope as what is revealed, with startling clarity, is that diet can reverse disease and change lives.

The film highlights each of the six before they begin the program and we first meet them in their home environment with their families. Each participant speaks candidly about their struggle to manage their diabetes and how it has affected every aspect of their life, from work to home to their relationships.

most people are too weak to stick to the diet

Very pertinent to me as I have had a bad pancreous for the last few years.... and my curse is my exceeding fondness (you can read weakness if so inclined) for meat, drink, sugar and nicotine.. all of which I have cut down with some good results.. but have never wanted to go all the way... and so my pancreous has never fully recovered... And.... the holidays are here with all the implied indulgence they have to offer, of which I will partake of like a lemming heading straight for the seacliff... Will watch this... hopin to set my carnivore ways straight.

OK!! very informative.. but is this just a short promo?? Only 8 minutes long and just briefly mentions as if in a high points narrative but little in details.. and the details are what I'm very interested in now!!
If this isn't the same vid... can you please find the original post vid???
Thanx!!

PS.. when I asked my Gastro doc's assistant what I should be eating... she told me to just not eat red meat, and anything with fat in it. And that's been my diet for the most part with an occaisonal backslide.... which all this other stuff I've been eating but wonderin about explains why it's never gotten better or resolved. But I guess that would no longer make me a paying patient... swear.gif

Let me know your full symptoms and I'll see what my cousin can suggest, he's been helping my flatmate with his stomach problems. The causes seem to be wide - my flatmate is struck down the worst after eating Indian curry, my sister has had to eliminate gluten from her diet. So who knows maybe its something other than red meat?

P.S. The lemming yarn is a myth. smile.gif

And who isn't struck down by indian curry except Indians... And lemmings killing themselves is a myth!?!?! What will we call the christian right republicans now??
Oh.. it's def pancreatitus... nearly killed me 2 years ago. At it's worst.. high fever, hard swollen guts, shakin like I ate 10 lbs of chocolate coffee beans all at once, very weak and some disoreintation... Not fun.
Got to admit.. for years I was a heavy meat eater with a fondness for sweets, tobacco, and liquor.. but since I had no ill effects at the time of any kind.. it wasn't till late in life eating right came into being... AND maybe just in time....
Anything else.. let me know...
