Putting aside the fact that Madonna wrote and directed this film, the movie was fairly nonsensical with no clear purpose or direction. The only thing that made it bearable and sometimes entertaining was Eugene Hutz of Gogol Bordello, whose music is heavily featured throughout the movie. And even though I'm not the biggest Gogol Bordello fan, I am becoming a big fan of Eugene Hutz as an actor after seeing him in this movie and the short film Kill Your Darlings and Everything Is Illuminated (a really good film), and I hope he continues acting because he is a strange and curious talent that I would love to see more of. Let's just hope I get my wish.
