Keep up the awesome work!

Can bit road links be added through the generator? I tried by using the direct url option and it didn't seem to work... It gives a "not a divx file" error message...

It would need it's own generator similar to the ones for ezyfile, rghost, etc. I know mrbrownee has looked into bitroad and several others. The generators we currently have I think are the ones he tested and found most reliable and easiest to maintain (he's always tweaking the generators to keep them working) Not to mention that bitroad isn't as widely used as it once was.
That's just my guess though.

i'll make a generic generator that can be used on lots of file hosts when i get home from work smile.gif 12:00am PST

I am having problems with the 2shared generator. When I generate my link and try and play it I get the pop up that says "This video has been auto-saved to the download folder" right away and it never plays. I have run into this before and the vid is never going to load. the link is

http://www.2shared.com/file/4685456/9d4dba...Drip_-_iKA.html

http://www.2shared.com/file/4685456/9d4dba...Drip_-_iKA.html

And this is your generated link

http://www.mrbrownee70.com/forum/2shared1.php?gid=6903719
mrbrownee70
2shared is funny like that. it has an ip limit so clearing your divx cache and waiting a few minutes usualy helps for me. your link streamed on the first try.

THANK YOU for the new MegaUpload work around. I know how hard it is to keep the direct stream script active, and this looks like a great alternative.
It's nice to have all of those links available for posting again.

I've never had a problem with the qss generator before but lately using mrbrownee's updated filebase version of 12/08/08, I sometimes get this when it returns the generated link:

http://www.mrbrownee70.com/forum/fbase.php?gid=6759294

pls. see this topic: http://ipb.quicksilverscreen.com/index.php?showtopic=118840

prior to posting the link I made sure it worked but as you see now its corrupt. Can someone tell me what's happening?

Hey hmadeira, I tried your link and regenerated the original link and had no trouble with either of them.

It has something to do with the captcha code on filebase, the generator doesn't seem to always work to bypass it.
Your generated link wasn't working for me either, then I visited the original filebase link and entered the captcha, and got the video.
Filebase doesn't require you to enter the captcha for every visit, so once you've done it on one page you usually don't encounter it again for a while.
So...when I retried your original generated link it worked fine. I'm sending mrbrownee a PM to have a look at these posts, thanks for the heads up.

after generating the link it will sometimes return the player screen without a taskbar just the black screen like above or at other times this happens...i'm quoting a member regarding the above topic "for me, the filebase link is not working - all I get is some sort of image on the top of the divx window - as if you were looking at the very bottom of a picture, and after some time, the page says "done" on the very bottom left. I do not encounter this problem with other filebase movies - they buffer as they should"

will I have to regenerate every filebase link that suddenly goes bad?

It sounds like this movie's resolution is taller than the frame setting. Which I think is set at 500, and this movie's res is 560 (I think).
Should only be a problem in Internet Explorer based browsers. I'd suggest trying FireFox or maybe even Opera, that should help.

I just want to say thanks for the Megaupload generator. Works great! biggrin.gif

So does this mean I am free to post Megaupload (Mega-Divx?) movies in the Divx section (using the generator of course)?

Tried that a couple of times with no luck. If it's still working fine for you, then it's probably just my connection or something. I'll wait a bit and give it another try later. Thanks though.

If it's stuck on 0% buffering (sometimes this happens to me in FF, not sure about IE) then refresh the page with the player on it. Paste the link in the box again (it'll still be saved in your clipboard) and click the generate button and it should play fine.

Tried that a number of times too, with a few different movies. Sometimes it works, most times it doesn't. I think, like you mentioned, it may be an issue with FF. I just tried a megaupload movie in IE, and it worked fine, no problems. So it must be something to do with FF...Or at least MY FF.

On another note...I was just curious why the Veoh generator has it's own page, and isn't just listed with the other generators?

I know megaupload has limits to your downloads not for sure if that would be the problem but I will have that issue sometimes
as well. I check to make sure the link I am posting is what it is suppose to be. After a few links I will start to get the same problem.
I just give it some time and try again later and it usually works.

Yeah I'm just usin IE to watch megaupload videos for now. Works fine, with no problems. I'll try again with FF tomorrow. Thanks people. smile.gif

Having problems with 2shared. I have uploaded several things and when I generate a link and try to watch them I get the pop up (right after pressing play) that says "This video has been auto-saved to the download folder" and it never loads. I have cleared my cache and it does not work. This is a link to one of the uploads.

it loaded right away for me, what has happened maybe is that your preferences have been changed somehow. get onto a working divx video or just so the player screen is there and right click on it and select preferences. uncheck "auto saveall video downloads" and hit "ok" and give it another try

I have the same saved to download folder issue and it stays at 0 but i think maybe i have too many divx movies in the folder im trying to get rid of some and try again ...i dont know

I don't use the auto-download feature myself, by I suspect this is due to the user session limit. When you encounter the user session limit, a small file (usually 11-15 kb) shows up in the divx cache, so I'm guessing it's this small file that's causing the auto-saved message to appear right away. Just means you'll have to wait and try the link a little later.

Just asking:

With the demise of NOWinHD and their site being redirected to MiLOYSKI - will there be a DIVX Generator for that site? Everything I saw there is in FLV format - not my favorite medium - I prefer AVI.

Thank you in advance for the reply.

looks like it has no divx/avi streaming. i may look into if they have mp4(h.264) but i won't bother with flv. so possibly, but most likely not smile.gif

Ya, the generator is really screwing up the filebase links.....should we leave them un-generated for now?

Is there plans for a QSS link generator for MovShare?

I couldn't get FileBase links to play anywhere (including on their own).....but they load right up after being embeded @ QSS.

I was starting to panic. emoticon-0141-whew.gif

No, it's not just you.... feel free to post without using the generator until we get it straightened out.

Also when viewing filebase without the generator be sure to add these to your ABP filter....
QUOTE(SEB @ Feb 21 2009, 04:00 PM) *
Does anyone know what to add to ABP to block these particular ads on filebase.

QUOTE(greeniz @ Feb 21 2009, 07:51 PM) *
Found it, add a filter to block this:
CODE
http://filebase.to/layer.php

If you want to block the yellow drop down thing at the top (it's not in the way, but if you want to anyway), then add a filter to block this:
CODE
http://filebase.to/systemad/js/systemad.js

Both of these show up in the list of blockable items. So if you don't want to manually add the filters, then click 'Open Blockable Items'.
Scroll through the list to find the 2 addresses above, right click the address, click 'Block this item...'

greeniz
Those ABP filters should block the ads even when using the generator... they do for me
scslacker022
not for me...
