Anybody tried HD Tube? I found it when I was looking for an Alt Link for a Movie...

CODE
http://www.hdtube.us/

Interesting to know if anybody could use it for Hosting in the future?

Uploads are disabled for now, but there are loads of Movies on there (good for Alt Links)!

its a scam site, designed to pull u in, its just a shell that looks like an upload site, when actually the movies are hosted elsewhere, avoid it bros (IMG:http://static.quicksilverscreen.com/ipb/style_emoticons/default/wink.gif)

I just gave it a whirl. The videos seem to come from their own servers. Extremely slow though.

If you're using FF, here's instructions to disable javascript http://ipb.quicksilverscreen.com/index.php...st&p=456383
OR
You can install the FF add-on AdBlockPlus and sadeyesbleeding posted the filter needed to block Zango here: http://ipb.quicksilverscreen.com/index.php...st&p=456885
This option means you can leave javascript enabled

Edit: They've switched from mandatory install to optional install so you can click cancel and still view the video. This also means the filter needed for AdBlockPlus has changed, here the new filter:

death dealer said he allowed the update and still continued to get the prompt (IMG:http://static.quicksilverscreen.com/ipb/style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif)
Hopefully this will be fixed or a way around it will be found soon... I know I'm looking into it, that'll drive me insane after a while. (see edit)

Edit: If you do not want to update, right-click the divx web player, and at the bottom of the 1st tab (General) there is an Auto Update section. In the drop down list box, select 'Once a month' and click OK. I got the notification the next time I loaded a page with the web player on it, but that was the last time.

Looks like StageHD is down for good now. At the bottom of the page, they offer a new site: http://www.donogo.com/

Doesn't look too bad, but I haven't explored it.

So, I was on a journey across the internet and I stumbled upon this site:

http://www.vureel.com/

It's kind of slow for me right now, but maybe it kicks back up during mid-day or something. I got this message when I went to the upload section, though:

"We are adding more servers to our network, uploads are disabled in the meantime, growth has its costs (IMG:http://static.quicksilverscreen.com/ipb/style_emoticons/default/sad.gif) " So... I don't know. Maybe it has potential. I'll keep an eye on it.

I found Heat. Lol. http://www.vureel.com/divx/913

Here's a little info you might find useful regarding Vreel's recent speed reduction for free users as well as the inability to download from Vreel using FF + Download Helper:

I tested a link and while I can stream a file with little to no buffering issues, it's just barely. After about a minute of streaming I had around 14mb of the file downloaded.
Also, it appears that using FF + Download Helper or copying the link from the source code to use for downloading doesn't work, you just end up with a file that's a few hundred kb in size. The reason it doesn't work is because you're trying to connect and download directly from the CDN (edgecast), which isn't allowed. So I tried using a download manager, Flashget is what I have, and not only did it work to download but it also gave me full speed. See the screenshots:

First, get the download link... either copy the link from the source code, or if using FF + Download Helper then Ctrl+Left-click the download helper link to copy to the clipboard. Then open Flashget and click the New button and it already has the link from the clipboard in the 1st box labeled URL.
Notice the red box, this is the trick to getting the download to work, you need to copy and paste the url of the Vreel page into the Referrer box. Then click the OK button and the download starts.
(IMG:http://www.mrbrownee70.com/images/FGscreen1.jpg)

Now see the info highlighted in the red box and compare to my previous statement of downloading 14mb in 1 min. As you can see I was able to download 52mb in the same amount of time using Flashget.
(IMG:http://www.mrbrownee70.com/images/FGscreen2.jpg)

Vreel announced they would be providing download links soon, but this should work till then and help with the speed issue.

Nice greeniz. I notice VideoDownloadHelper didn't work and I found this lil work around as well....

If you have AdBlockPlus you can right click on the "block" tab and choose save link as.

(IMG:http://i34.tinypic.com/2h33l87.jpg)

(IMG:http://i38.tinypic.com/av09b4.jpg)

It didn't give me full speed but it's fast enough.

Didn't work for me Greeniz (IMG:http://static.quicksilverscreen.com/ipb/style_emoticons/default/sad.gif)

I can still dl off them, i use no-script add-on, i can dl direct from the player, but i'm still getting the restricted speeds.

Yeah I get the restricted speed from the player too, that's what I was referring to when I said I only got 14mb in 1 min of streaming/downloading.
Only when I download using Flashget did I get the full speed, so it doesn't help with streaming speed unfortunately, but if it's loading too slow to stream in real time you might as well download.
