The original PC version will be trickier to play on today's machines without a DOS emulator anyways (tricky to set up, too), so probably the best way to go is the SNES version.

follow these instructions for spore as if you dont you will have issues
Dont use the keygen

1. Unrar
2. Burn or mount the image
3. Install the game, when asked for a serial enter one of the following

SPF7-C9A2-AXYE-4ITI-2RLD
1KPX-FFAW-CAME-KLSA-2RLD
HDYG-T4TL-ANIC-7RTS-2RLD

4. Don't install the download manager, don't start without copying over crack
first, don't register the game with an EA account, and don't go online
5. install the crack
6. Play the game

using spore online with a cracked version = death for that game

I need a walk through on how to get spore to work please I just spent a day downloading it and really want to play it now.

im assuming theres an iso envolved

now first
1.unrar the files

2.burn or mount what ever your preference is

3.install
if it doesnt auto-run you might have to to explore and find the setup.exe yourself but lets hope to avoid that

4.now this is were i gets tricky

Don't install the download manager when prompted ,
don't start without copying over crack first
---- side note --- the crack suplied by robbeh might be the true fix i dont know when a game first comes out expect cracks to be wild guesses so be careful
don't register the game with an EA account,
and don't go online

this must be noted as it is the matter of playing or not

let me know if the instructions above dont work

(this guide was assembled by me guessing you know the basics of cracking and burning/mounting and image)
if you dont post here and i or someone will be glad to help in that deparment
