I started using this about a month ago. Unfortunately the database is not updated anymore ('signature database could not be updated - could not connect to server' message). (IMG:http://static.quicksilverscreen.com/ipb/style_emoticons/default/sad.gif)

Try using the update servers MrBojangles suggested in his post earlier int this thread (here: http://ipb.quicksilverscreen.com/index.php...t&p=307565) - it solved the problem of updates for me, and despite being unofficial, they seem fairly robust. (IMG:http://static.quicksilverscreen.com/ipb/style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

Just in case you're unaware of how to change the update server address in ESET Smart Security, here's a swift walkthrough:
  • Double-click the Eset icon in the system tray
  • Click Setup in the menu at the top-right of the window, then click Advanced Setup in the dropdown menu (shortcut key F5)
  • Click Update in the list on the left-hand side
  • Click the Edit... button next to the update server address, add MrBojangles' server URLs and click OKwhen returned to the setup screen
Check if this has solved your problem by running an update manually. (IMG:http://static.quicksilverscreen.com/ipb/style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

EDIT: Oops, forgot to say I don't know how to update the standalone Nod32 antivirus program, but I presume it's in a similar fashion to the method above. (IMG:http://static.quicksilverscreen.com/ipb/style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

No problem guys, I'm always open to questions. I just posted that because, like you guys, I wanted a free, working NOD32 and I had to search to find it (IMG:http://static.quicksilverscreen.com/ipb/style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)
