X Minus One NBC 1955-1958
(IMG:http://img265.imageshack.us/img265/9656/serial142479.png) Initially a revival of NBC's Dimension X (1950-51), X Minus One is widely considered among the finest science fiction dramas ever produced for radio. The first 15 episodes were new versions of Dimension X episodes, but the remainder were adaptations by NBC staff writers, including Ernest Kinoy and George Lefferts,[1] of newly published science fiction stories by leading writers in the field, including Isaac Asimov, Ray Bradbury, Philip K. Dick, Robert A. Heinlein, Frederik Pohl and Theodore Sturgeon[2], along with some original scripts by Kinoy and Lefferts. CODE http://rapidshare.com/files/49422079/60_GRS_06.rar

Thanx so much for these! Even with all the modern visual special effects and developments in CGI, I still favor these old Sci-Fi radio programs more than John Carpenter's "The Thing," or Luc Besson's "The Fifth Element" (my two favorites for story an aesthetic;respectively). I'm not old enough to remeber any of these hn they were actually broadcast.
Maybe I'm just an "old soul?" Whatever the case is, finding these was one more thing that's made this one of the best years in a long time! Thanks again! (IMG:http://static.quicksilverscreen.com/ipb/style_emoticons/default/emoticon-0137-clapping.gif) |
