I'm re-downloading part 10, but did anyone else have this trouble? Cheers I'll let you know if it works. EDIT: I got the .NRG file and mounted the image. I went to install the game but once I hit install, the menu just closed and nothing happened. Afterwards, I tried to run through setup. This gave me the error "This is not a valid win32 application." It's possible something was corrupted at some point, but those are the links I installed with and my game plays perfectly.

Oh, i forgot to mention, if you download part 10 from the 3rd set of links re-name it to what the other part 10 is called from the other set of links.

It's one of those annoying 'double extraction' ones. You have to: 1. Extract the files in the downloaded 4-part multivolume RAR archive (RFG_Postal_StandAlone.partx.rar) to a folder on your hard drive. 2. Extract this new 38-part multivolume RAR archive (RFG_Portal.partxx.rar) to a different folder on your hard drive. You can now delete all the RAR files - as long as you backup this new folder now (to a CD/DVD or whatever) you'll be able to install the game again in the future. 3. Go to that new folder (with the .7z files in it) and run the Setup.exe file to install. 4. Wait till the install finishes and play! Thanks Robbeh, that really helped.
I successfully installed, and started to play. Only problem is that whenever I play the game, it crashes as soon as the portals open on the very first level. You don't need to pay to keep a private server up, it can be run off the PC you're using aslong as it isn't a piece of shit, and no sorry Goku I don't know of any guide's to help you, I have built/hosted several private servers but not for WoW so I can't really help much either.

you need to get wow installed on your pc and then find a wow server emulator from google. there are some sights around with info.
After you get all the server sorted back up your wow folder and patch is all up but before doing so search for cracked patches cos if u get the wrong version and there is no cracked patch you will need to start again. Once this is done is just a case of starting and running the server and then editing your wow wtf config file to change the defualt server to the new one your made. Edit: Tbh its not really worth it. you cant lvl up in the normal way you just to /setlevel 225. you cant fight anything or gain xp. running instaces is dull and you deck yourself out in the best gear so there is no point to the game on privat servers you host. you might want to find one hosted with a xp multiplier and lvl cap at 70 or 80 This post has been edited by killa: Dec 18 2008, 03:36 PM |

I think what he wants to do is run it offline and use the server editor to create his own RPG game using the starting point of the WoW game.
I did the same thing with a game I used to play and then I put it on discs and sold it to my friends etc lol. |
