The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn

(IMG:http://img689.imageshack.us/img689/3736/010010101.jpg)

Mark Twain's tale of a boy's picaresque journey down the Mississippi on a raft conveyed the voice and experience of the American frontier as no other work had done before. When Huck escapes from his drunken father and the 'sivilizing' Widow Douglas with the runaway slave Jim, he embarks on a series of adventures that draw him to feuding families and the trickery of the unscrupulous 'Duke' and 'Dauphin'. Beneath the exploits, however, are more serious undercurrents - of slavery, adult control - which threaten his deep and enduring friendship with Jim.

The Adventures of Tom Sawyer

(IMG:http://img27.imageshack.us/img27/4248/010010.jpg)

'Part of my plan has been to try pleasantly to remind adults of what they once were themselves, and of how they felt and thought and talked, and what queer enterprises they sometimes engaged in.' An unparalleled celebration of childhood, Tom Saywer has delighted adults since its first publication. Tom is reckless, lazy, maddeningly inquisitive, a poor scholar and a menace to his Aunt Polly. His many schemes for avoiding work, school and punishment are quite sublime. A classic tale of boyhood adventure.

The Prince and the Pauper

The Prince and the Pauper is an English-language novel by American author Mark Twain.
It was first published in 1881 in Canada before its 1882 publication in the United States.
The book represents Twain's first attempt at historical fiction. Set in 1547, the novel tells the story of two young boys who are identical in appearance: Tom Canty, a pauper who lives with his abusive father in Offal Court off Pudding Lane in London, and Edward VI of England, son of Henry VIII of England.

A Connecticut Yankee in King Arthur's Court

(IMG:http://img682.imageshack.us/img682/4170/01con.jpg)

This early example of a time travel story, recounts the tale of the Yankee Hank Morgan, a 19th century citizen of Hartford, Connecticut who is a skilled mechanic at an arms factory. He awakens to find himself transported back in time to early medieval England. Hank is ridiculed at King Arthurs court and sentenced to burn at the stake. He fights back with his Yankee ingenuity, making considerable progress until he butts up against a larger force that ushers in some darker events.
Mark Twain shows his artistry and cloaks a clever social satire in the highly engaging Connecticut Yankee in King Arthur's Court.
