I've just spent the last 20 mins reading up on it, and i ain't found a single person recommending it! Its registered as ad-ware by Norton, all in all this don't sound good (IMG:http://static.quicksilverscreen.com/ipb/style_emoticons/default/sad.gif)
yep i fell in to the trap a while ago i installed it and it completely screwed up my pc That seems to be to general concensus. This post has been edited by Uncle Bulgaria: Jul 30 2008, 06:11 PM |

If people are going to install this (and I'd advise them to leave it well alone) at least check it out the facts on it first. Wikipedia has all the details.

Wikipedia has all the details. interesting article, especially the recent history of the company and the lawsuits against them. This seems like a blatant attempt to Vreel to hook in the consumer then fleece em (IMG:http://static.quicksilverscreen.com/ipb/style_emoticons/default/sad.gif) |

Undesirable software behaviors
StopBadware.org lists a number of undesirable behaviors associated with Zango Easy Messenger, including "behaves as spyware", "automatically runs on startup", "displays pop-up advertisements", "installs adware", and "bundled software cannot be closed". The same site states, "We find that Zango Easy Messenger is not badware, although it does engage in behaviors that users should be aware of."[6] Websense issued a Zango-related security advisory in November 2006. The report stated that "Websense Security Labs has discovered a number of user pages on the MySpace domain which have videos that look like they are from YouTube. The videos have an installer embedded within them for the Zango Cash Toolbar. When users click on the video, they are directed to a copy of the video, which is hosted on server sites such as Yootube.info, Yuotube.com, Youtuhe.com, and etc. these all will most likely give you spyware."[7] A more detailed analysis of this attack appears in "Zango Practices Violating Zango's Recent Settlement with the FTC": "Zango continues numerous practices likely to confuse, deceive, or otherwise harm typical users as well as practices specifically contrary to Zango's obligations under its November 2006 settlement with the FTC." These include a failure to include an on-screen disclosure of material terms, widespread in-toolbar ads without the labeling and hyperlinks, ads for "bogus Sites that attempt to defraud users" and third party installations without any disclosure whatsoever. Automated analysis by McAfee SiteAdvisor in May 2008 reports "629 red downloads - In our tests, we found downloads on this site that some people consider adware, spyware or other potentially unwanted programs." [8]. Source: Wiki |

For Firefox users, just click Tools menu, go to Options, click the Content tab, and uncheck the box that says 'Enable JavaScript' |

Listen, i think you can bypass zango`s stupid spyweres, all you need is an antispywere, instal zango, and the antispywere will stop copying the spyweres.. problem solved. Now we just need someone to test it (IMG:http://static.quicksilverscreen.com/ipb/style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) i have just tried disabling java script and your a star cos it works great job (IMG:http://www.puretna.com/pic/smilies/thankyou.gif) (IMG:http://skins.hotbar.com/skins/mailskins/em/110104/110104_emM5.gif) (IMG:http://skins.hotbar.com/skins/mailskins/em/110104/110104_emM5.gif) |

EDIT adblock plus also blocks zango so you can watch vids without installing zango
also you can still download from vreel without installing zango get download link from the embed code click the the movie link (dont click cancel on zango becouse it will redirect you) then on your browser click view then click page source (IMG:http://i288.photobucket.com/albums/ll164/acount2_2008/vreelzan.png) then scroll down about half way and look for the embed code (iv marked it here with the red box) then copy and paste the download link (iv marked with the green box) in to your browser and click save (IMG:http://i288.photobucket.com/albums/ll164/acount2_2008/downloadlink.png)
Reason for edit: added the info ect to this post
